Acne and pimples can have profound effects on the individual suffering from these skin conditions. People can avoid social situations, have low self-esteem and experience stigma that affects their personal and professional relationships.
Whether you have battled with breakouts for years or are a younger person that seeks to avoid a long-term condition, the Acne Nutrition Clinic is your answer.

You may have tried medications to control your acne and found that you relapse as soon as you finish your treatment, or you would like to try a more permanent and natural method to gain control of your breakouts through nutrition.
We believe that ongoing good skin health can be achieved through looking after your gut health and eating a nutritious diet. This is why we offer consultations that take an in-depth look at your current pattern of food intake and explain what changes you should make and why. We provide easy to incorporate changes and break down the science behind the recommendations so that you are empowered to manage your skin health into the future.

The Acne Nutrition Clinic was established by an experienced Australian Dietitian / Nutritionist wanting to provide a holistic and natural therapeutic specialised service for people suffering from acne.
Acne and pimples are debilitating and can lead to significant distress for the individual. People that don't suffer from the condition tend to lack understanding of how much impact it has on everyday life. The Acne Nutrition Clinic practitioners know what a difference clear skin makes to a person's psychological well-being which means we will work with you to achieve the results you need. We are here to support you at every step on your journey.
Tamara is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, this means she has undergone special training to be qualified in assessing an individual's dietary habits and making personalised, focussed recommendations.
A dietitian is someone with a higher qualification than a nutritionist and has membership of the national registering body Dietitians Australia.
Tamara has many years experience and is an empathetic practitioner that seeks to find dietary solutions that fit with the clients everyday life.
She is committed to equipping people with the skills and information they need to improve their skin health and overall confidence and well-being.

You're an individual and you have individual needs and behaviours, that's why we offer one-on-one tailored nutrition counselling to suit you and your lifestyle. We're all about making dietary changes easy for you to follow and do this by having longer initial appointments whereby we collect relevant information and prioritise key dietary strategies, followed by shorter review appointments to answer questions, check on your progress and discuss additional adjustments to your dietary habits.
Generally, once the majority of key recommendations are covered in the initial consultation and a handful of review consultations, clients have the skills to manage their symptoms without returning for further consultations. This means that the investment required to attend the Acne Nutrition Clinic can provide long-term benefits.
For a special limited time we are currently offering a free initial consultation. Please go to the Book Now link!

Topical Creams
Topical lotion treatments have been the mainstay of acne and pimple treatment for many years. These can be continued prior to and during nutrition therapy / dietary changes. Many specially formulated practical cleansers and other skin creams exist and their ongoing use is supported as they will continue to treat the condition at the surface level.

Skin Treatments

Pharmaceutical
Medications are often recommended by medical doctors when treating recalcitrant acne. One of the most popular is Accutane. If you are taking a medication to treat your acne it is recommended you wait 2-3 months before you begin nutrition therapy / attend your initial appointment. This will ensure your endocrine and immune systems are given a chance to respond to the dietary changes.
